B6 Group / Butyl and bitumen sheets

Butyl and bitumen sheets

Butyl is a synthetic rubber formed from isobutylene and small amounts of isoprene, and can be used, for example, for waterproofing, moisture and vapour sealing in mechanical joints.

Butyl has some particular advantages over bitumen. For example, butyl is elastic and therefore resists expansion and contraction better than bitumen. Butyl tape is available from the B6 Group in many different shapes and dimensions, and we can create unique solutions at excellent prices.

The benefits of Butyl:

  • Has excellent sound and vibration absorption throughout the life of the product
  • Is weather resistant with has excellent sealing properties
  • Has high flexibility and adhesiveness
  • Is non-toxic and environmentally safe

Areas of application:

  • Vibration damping
  • Air, dust and water sealer
  • Sealer, as an alternative to sealants

Bitumen is a black-brown thermoplastic substance that is a residual product from refining crude oil. Bitumen is typically used for insulation and vibration damping in industry. We offer bitumen sheets in many different shapes and dimensions, and we can create unique solutions at excellent prices.
